Messages from mirai

Mirai is a service that sends SMS messages to its users. Based on the content of the messages, it appears that Mirai offers an app or website related to flights and travel. The activation codes in some of the texts suggest that users can activate certain features within this flight-related product using these codes. However, there are also several other web search results about "Mirai" which describe malware called "Mirai Botnet". This malware infects smart devices like cameras and routers turning them into remotely controlled bots used for large-scale network attacks known as Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks. It's unclear whether these two things named "Mirai" are connected or not since none of the text message examples mention anything about DDoS attacks nor do they seem suspicious in any way.
