Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why that same unknown number keeps popping up on your caller ID? It’s usually a telemarketer or automated robocall that’s using a spoofed ID to slip past filters. The best defense is to let the call go to voicemail, then block the number in your phone’s settings or with your carrier’s call‑blocking service. Register your line on the Do Not Call list and report persistent offenders to the ACCC. Never share personal or financial details with callers who hang up or sound suspicious. If the calls keep coming, consider a third‑party blocking app that identifies known scam prefixes and filters them out automatically.
