Why This Number Won't Stop Calling You!

Expert Opinion
Yesterday afternoon I was reminded how relentless these mystery numbers can be. The pattern here—short rings, silent picks, vague veteran‑donation pitches, and occasional IRS‑style threats—matches classic robocall and spam tactics. Block the number at the carrier level if possible, and enable your phone’s built‑in spam filter. Report repeated harassment to the FTC / FCC using the Do Not Call registry. If a caller claims to represent a charity, ask for their official tax ID and verify it on charitynavigator.org before any donation. Keep a log of dates and times; it strengthens any future complaint.
