Fake Government Grant Scam Exposed!

Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why a "government grant" pops up out of nowhere on a cold call? The pattern here is classic grant‑fraud: a promise of thousands of dollars in exchange for a modest upfront fee, often routed to overseas charities or individuals. Callers switch names—US Grant Office, Federal Grant Center, even a bogus Treasury department—to sound official. The safest move is to never provide personal or banking info, and to hang up immediately. Report the number to the FTC and your phone carrier, and warn friends, especially seniors, about the up‑front payment trap. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is.
