A call claiming I won a government grant turned out to be a scam.
Why You Should Never Pay for Grant Money!
Summary — +12026810746
Expert Opinion
The pattern points to a classic grant‑money scam: callers claim you’ve been selected for a $15,000 government grant, then demand payment for cards or fees via Walmart, MoneyGram, or other services. Never share personal or financial info, and avoid calling back unknown numbers. Hang up, block the caller, and report the incident to the FTC or your phone carrier. Verify any alleged grant through official agency websites, not through unsolicited phone calls. If you suspect fraud, consider a credit freeze and monitor accounts for unauthorized activity.
