Why That “Government Grant” Call Is a Trap!

A voicemail was left claiming there was an arrest warrant, but I didn't fall for the trap and ignored the message.

The claim of being from the Social Security fraud department, issuing an arrest warrant, is likely a ruse.

A message was left, claiming that a lawsuit had been filed against me and that an arrest warrant had been issued in my name due to alleged fraudulent activities related to my social security number. The message instructed me to press one to learn more or call back for further information.

A call was received today at 4:30, claiming a lawsuit had been filed and a warrant issued for arrest.

Upon listening to the voicemail, it seemed to be a recorded message warning of fraud and prompting me to press a number to speak with an officer, which raises suspicions about the legitimacy of this call

This number is a Social Security number fraud robocall, be carefull

Today, I recieved two calls from this number, both of which were robo calls claiming that there were actions filed against my social security number due to fraudulent activties. They instucted me to call back for more informations about the case file and arrest warrant, but I dont intend to do that.

They called me saying i had a warrant out for my arrest for fraud, but i'm only 12 and dont know what they meen, i just sit on my pc all day, i dont have the energy to commit fraud

A recorded message was left, saying an arrest warrant was placed on me based on a deferred payment on my social security number, wich is a clear scam, and I'm not going to fall for it.

I received a call claiming I was eligible for a $9200 grant from the federal reserve bank, which seemed highly suspicious and likely a scam.

A woman contacted me, stating that I had won a $10,000 grant based on a survey and my phone number selection. She claimed to have information about me, allegedly obtained from my phone number, and presented three options for receiving the grant: credit card, bank account, or Western Union. However, I am skeptical about the legitimacy of this offer.

They give you a number to call and a confermation # for them to release the money, it was a man and a women who called

It seem, i received that same kind of phone call today from an oriental lady with a heavy accent, she said the same thing.

A caller identifying himself as Peter Spencer informed me that I had been selected to receive a $9000 grant from the US government, requiring me to call 202 697-9510 to confirm the grant amount and provide an ID confirmation number. I strongly advise against falling prey to this scam.

This number has made repeated calls with the same message, which is frustrating and seems like a scam.

A womens named Danielle Brown called me, she claimed to be from the US Grant, she said I had a 7,000 grant, but I work for a TV broadcasting company, so I told her we do stories on scam like this all the time, she then asked me to write down a id number, but I refused

I had a similiar experiance, a lady claimed i qualified for a $9000 goverment grant, but when i tried to call the finanacial manager, the number just kept hanging up on me.

Fortunately, I was cautious when I received a call from a government number claiming I could receive $9000, and a quick Google search revealed it to be a scam, so I'm warning others to be careful when receiving calls from this number
