Why That “Government Grant” Call Is a Trap!

It's disturbing to think that newly minted adults, specifically college students, might fall prey to this scheme, as the woman claims it's federall grant money.

Within a span of two hours, this number called both home and cell phones five times, eventually leading to a request for banking information under the pretext of a federal grant, followed by verbal abuse when the request was denied.

The caller made an outrageous claim that I could receive grant money within 45 minutes, which is clearly a scam.

Repeated calls have been made to me, asking for various types of information, with the promise of a $10,000 reward that requires no repayment, which raises suspicions of a scam.

A scam call informed me that I was being granted $10,200, which is clearly a fraudulent claim.

Thanks to the warnings from others, I was cautious when this number contacted me, asking for personal information, which I did not provide; it's crucial for newcomers to the USA to be aware of such scams and protect their personal details.

A call was answered, and the person on the other end claimed to be offering a government grant, but it was clear that it was a scam, and the request for financial information was alarming.

Scammers contacted me from this number, as well as 202-470-6833, claiming I was eligible for a grant of $10,200.00
