Why That “Government Grant” Call Is a Trap!

After recieving 6 calls on Saturday March 23, 2013, I finaly answered and a woman asked for my name, but then the call got disconected, I tryed to call back, but it was busy, I think they're just trying to scam me, so I'm warning everyone with a prepaid debt card to be carefull.

After days of repeated calls, I finally answered and was met with a series of suspicious and aggressive requests for financial information, culminating in the caller becoming hostile and hanging up.

Today, a call was recieved from this number, the woman on the line was incoherent and sounded like she was drunk, alot of background noise was there, so i told her no one was here by that number and she hung up, good thing i did that

A basic understanding of government protocols makes it clear that official calls would not originate from cellular phones.

This number called me all day, finaly I answered and a lady said I was randomly picked for a grant, but I knew it was a fraud because she hung up when I ask whats the catch

This number has called multiple times, with different individuals claiming to represent a government program and threatening consequences if I didn't comply with their requests.

A grant scam originating from this number deceived my brother, resulting in the need to cancel his account, so be cautious

After answering a call from this number, I heard background noise, and the caller claimed to be Peter, asking if I had ordered something, but I hung up after realizing it was a scam.

A person told me i was awarded $10,200 grant money from the government, but it was a scam, they wanted me to send $116 dollars to a charity

Apparently, a scammer contacted me claiming the government was distributing free grant money, but first, I had to provide my bank account or debit card details.

Verification was sought and fears confirmed regarding a call from this number concerning a supposed US government grant.

By blocking the CID on my phone and calling back, I reached an answering service and left a repetitive message, hoping it would deter future unwanted calls.

After receiving the call, I informed the individual, who claimed to be from the government, that I would be contacting Homeland Security to verify the authenticity of the call.
