Some idiot sent a text about an Uber code, which is ridiculous since I don't have an Uber account and never intend to.
Why That Uber Code Text Is Probably a Scam!
Summary — +12029671813
Expert Opinion
Recent reports show a surge of spoofed Uber verification texts from +12029671813, often urging recipients to never share a code and to reply STOP to halt messages. These messages are typically phishing attempts designed to capture the one‑time password and hijack accounts. If you receive an unexpected Uber code, ignore it, do not reply, and delete the message. Consider registering your number with your carrier’s spam‑filtering service and report the number to Uber’s fraud team. Regularly review account activity and enable two‑factor authentication wherever possible to reduce exposure.

It's likely that these texts arent even from Uber, they're probally scamers trying to correlate a cell phone number with an email adress, I also recieved one of these texts, while they look oficial, it dont make sence to send a PIN to your own cell phone number, its just not a smart idear to keep alot of money in an Uber account, nearly 1k is alot.
