I recieved a unsolicited Uber code out of nowhere
Why You Keep Getting Fake Uber Codes!
Summary — +12029671905
Expert Opinion
Repeated alerts point to a classic phishing pattern: unsolicited messages delivering a bogus Uber verification code. The volume and consistency suggest an automated spam operation, not a legitimate service. Recipients should never share the code, avoid replying or clicking links, and block the number promptly. Consider reporting the number to your carrier and to the FTC’s spam database. If you use Uber, verify any code directly in the app rather than through texts. Enable two‑factor authentication where possible and keep your contact info private to reduce exposure to these scams.
