This is a survey about current events, we did it yesterday and it took around 15 mins, they didnt mention any university but they did mention CBS and the New York Times
During a concert, my phone rang twice from this number, and again the following morning, which was frustrating given my pre-paid cell phone plan and reluctance to waste minutes on surveys.

Apparently, being on the do not call list does not protect against surveyors
They called me three times, the first time they left a voicemail, the second time i answered and heard the whole speach, then i decidied to hang up, they called me again and i blocked their number and added mine to the Do Not Call list a few minites ago.
It appears that Quinnipiac University Polling is conducting legitamate surveys, but they will only leave a message the first time they call, and if you're not interested, you can simply ask them to remove your number.

As previoulsy menioned, the numbers are genrated randomly by a computer, and we never acutally know who or what we are calling, aside from the state.
It's true that the Quinnipiac Poll is legitamate, no doubt about it.
