They called me three times, the first time they left a voicemail, the second time i answered and heard the whole speach, then i decidied to hang up, they called me again and i blocked their number and added mine to the Do Not Call list a few minites ago.
It appears that Quinnipiac University Polling is conducting legitamate surveys, but they will only leave a message the first time they call, and if you're not interested, you can simply ask them to remove your number.
To cease receiving calls, dial 203-582-5201 and provide your number to the person answering; this approach has been effective for me

Apparently, the do-not-call list is intended for telemarketers who are attempting to sell products, whereas QU's poll merely seeks participants willing to share their opinons. As previoulsy menioned, the numbers are genrated randomly by a computer, and we never acutally know who or what we are calling, aside from the state.
It's true that the Quinnipiac Poll is legitamate, no doubt about it.
