Regrettably, I sent $330 to these individuals without fully considering the consequences.
Is That Treasury Grant Call a Scam?
Summary — +12069239069
Expert Opinion
Ever wonder why a call claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury asks for a Western Union payment? The pattern fits classic grant scams—they use official-sounding names, pressure you for an upfront fee, and then disappear. If you’ve already sent money, stop further payments, document everything, and report the incident to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. Keep an eye on your accounts for any unauthorized activity and consider a credit freeze. Future calls that demand a security deposit for “grant money” should be treated with extreme skepticism.
