On June 14, 2010, I received a call from someone claiming to be William Dowerdy, who requested that I contact his supervisor, Peter Joy, regarding potential new patients.
It appears that a coordinated effort has been made to posting fake defenses of the scam, raising suspicions about the legitimacy of the comments
Initially, Geoff Hoffman's approach seemed somewhat deceptive, but after discussing it with him over the phone, he clarified the reason behind his call, which made more sense in the context of PsychToday's services.
If this was true, you wouldnt be looking up the number on this site, or telling us how legit they are, thats just ridiculous.
In defense of the company, it appears legitimate, with a valid offer, suggesting some individuals may be misjudging due to personal oversight.
I recieved a message from a "Peter Joy" saying he had me on a list of therapists and asking me to call him back at 646.763.6380 to answer a couple of questions about my practive. The caller ID showed 212.260.7210. I looked up both numbers and found the first to be an unlisted cell phone and the other to be Sussex Publishing - home of Psychology Today.
Be carefull, they appeare to be scammers.
My wife recieved a call from this number, the person on the phone said they were calling on behalf of someone who wanted to see me as a therapist, but it sounded suspicious to me, so I'm glad I found this webpage to report it

Although Psychology Today is a reputable publication, their approach to contacting professionals is unprofessional and raises concerns; I received a call from a representative who refused to provide his last name and requested that I contact another individual at a different number.
It seems that only questionable practitioners would be offended by the comments here; thorough research on the company should be conducted before posting criticism.
I'm not a fan of telemarketing, and this caller seem's shady, they didnt provide alot of information about their service, and when i mention'd seeing their number online, they just hang up on me.

On thursday april 2nd, I recieved a call from this number too, tracy left a voicemail asking me to call her boss michael anthony, but when I did, I got his voicemail, I called back the next day and got a diferent number, today I googled it and I'm glad I didnt answer
