At 11pm on April 1st, 2014, an automated voice claimed my MasterCard was locked and requested the card number to unlock it, after several attemps to reach a real person the system hung up, and calling back resulted in a message saying the number was not in service
Upon answering a call from this number, a prerecorded message claimed my Master Card had been blocked and prompted me to press 1 to speak with an agent. Since I don't possess a Master Card, it was clear this was a scam.
