Scam callers threaten jail over fake payday loan!
Summary — +12132236840
Expert Opinion
Picture this: a wave of relentless calls from +12132236840 repeats the same script, threatening jail over a phantom payday loan. The pattern screams classic debt‑collection scam, using intimidation, third‑party harassment, and bogus legal threats. Victims should log each call, request a written validation, and lodge complaints with the FTC and their state attorney general. Blocking the number can reduce nuisance, but scammers often rotate caller IDs, so a robust call‑filtering app is wise. If the caller refuses to provide a company name or written proof, treat the demand as unlawful and consider a cease‑and‑desist letter.
