Expert Opinion
Block the number and never return a call that promises a lower bill or a sudden account change. Verify any alleged carrier outreach directly with your provider using official contact methods. If you receive a follow‑up call, let it go to voicemail and check the caller ID details before engaging. Keep a log of repeated attempts and report the number to your phone carrier’s spam‑filter service. Never share personal or payment info with unsolicited callers, and educate colleagues to treat similar calls as potential scams.
