Expert Opinion
Watch out: callers using the +1‑229‑354‑1199 number are repeatedly posing as Geek Squad to push bogus contract renewals and phishing scams. Victims report email fakes, hold queues, and requests to download remote‑access tools like TeamViewer. The pattern is classic credential‑theft bait—pretending to verify purchases, then coaxing you into sharing passwords or payment info. If you receive an unsolicited Geek Squad email or call, do not click links, install software, or give personal data. Hang up, verify the request through the official Best Buy support channel, and report the incident to the FTC or your email provider.
