Expert Opinion

Imagine fielding a voicemail that threatens a $399 charge unless you dial a mystery line. The pattern here points to a classic vishing scheme: a fabricated corporate name, a pressure deadline, and a call‑back number that routes you to a live or prerecorded scammer. Hang up, never share credit‑card details, and report the number to your carrier. Verify any alleged charges directly through your account portal, not via a callback. If you suspect fraud, place a block on the offending line and file a complaint with the FTC. Stay skeptical of unsolicited refund offers.
