Scam Alert: Who’s Behind the “Amanda” Debt Calls?
Summary — +12522522215
Expert Opinion
Oddly enough, the script you’re hearing screams automated debt‑collection scam. Callers repeatedly demand two forms of ID and threaten legal action, a classic pressure tactic. They often cite a bogus "Amanda Gallagher" or a generic firm like CLS, then hand you a toll‑free number that drops the call or hangs up. Protect yourself by refusing to share personal details, hanging up, and documenting the call. Verify any alleged debt through a written notice as required by the FDCPA, and report persistent harassment to the FTC or your state’s consumer protection agency. Never give credit‑card info over the phone.
