The pattern matches what many report: a survey‑style outreach often claimed to be from Market Probe or a similar market‑research firm, sometimes mis‑identified as AARP or a bank. These calls are typically automated, aim to collect consumer opinions, and don’t honor opt‑out requests. If you’re fed up, consider adding the number to your carrier’s block list, registering with the National Do‑Not‑Call Registry, and using a call‑screening app that filters unknown callers. You can also request directly that the caller remove you from their list; they are required to honor that under the Telemarketing Sales Rule.

This number has called me three times today. I initially avoided answering, thinking it might be a customer, but when I finally picked up, they hung up. It's pretty frustrating.
Screening calls is a must for me, especially when the caller ID displays Unknown caller and the number is unfamiliar, so I rely on my answering machine to intercept such calls and decide whether to respond if the message sounds urgent.
