Aggressive debt collector calls nonstop!
Summary — +13027354628
Expert Opinion
Take note: these callers consistently present themselves as a collection agency tied to a firm called James Stevens & Daniels, often using the JSD moniker. Their tactics include aggressive, rude persuasion, repeated follow‑ups, and vague references to big‑client names like Xerox to feign legitimacy. They rarely leave clear voicemail messages and will pressure you for personal or business information, sometimes claiming to represent a neighbor’s debt. Block the number, document each interaction, and report the harassment to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection office. If they claim legal authority, ask for written verification before any payment.

Our office has been contacted by James Stevens & Daniels, allegedly attempting to collect a debt on behalf of McAfee, which raised several red flags: firstly, we do not utilize McAfee services; secondly, upon contacting McAfee directly, it was confirmed that they do not issue invoices as all payments are processed via credit card in advance; thirdly, the invoice features McAfee's address in Santa Clara but directs payments to Chicago, a suspicious discrepancy. This experience has led us to conclude that it is indeed a scam, and we hope this information will help others avoid unnecessary time and concern.
It appears these collection agencies are passing on uncollected debts from one shady company to another, with the original company having written off the bill, and now these new agencies are attempting to collect the debts, likely to keep the majority of the funds for themselves
While I agree with your assessment, I believe these scammers are often more nefarious, possibly even ex-convicts who previously worked as attorneys.

A while back, these folks contacted us with a debt recovery option, but we declinded their offer, since we didnt want to spend the money on litagation, and the person we were after didnt have any assets, luckly, several months later, my buisness partner was contacted by the same group, but this time it was for a debt collection against them, what a small world!
I had a conversation with one of these individuals yesterday, and they were extremely rude, refusing to let me speak. They claimed I had a debt to pay and threatened to have me arrested if I didn't pay that day. They even made personal comments about my life and family, which were completely unprofessional. I'm considering consulting a lawyer to understand my rights and the legality of their actions.
Claims of affiliation with Xerox are likely false and not credible.

It seems that the individuals behind this number are pretending to be lawyers but lack the competence to actually practice law.
