Why That ‘Security Team’ Call Is a Scam!

I had a similar experience, they claimed my computer was at risk of being hijacked and my personal info stolen if I didnt call back immediatly, but I dont even use Msoft Windows.

The same experience was reported with this number

This number is a complete scam.

I had a robocall from a woman named Jenny, who try to acces my computer files, i told her i will report her and asked her to never call again

This is clearly a scam, as the person on the other end was completely unintelligible

Apparently, my computer got hijack, what a scam! i would love to see those clowns getting jail time

The comments about Root Technology and computer hacking are accurate. It's a new tactic, as they provide a number to call, likely answered by someone with a foreign accent who would attempt to deceive me into thinking they're helping with a non-existent issue. Fortunately, I didn't fall for it, but some people might.

I recieved a robo call saying my windows was hacked, its a compleat scam, and i've blocked it

A robo-call voicemail claimed that my Windows system had been compromised, resulting in the loss of financial information, and requested that I call them back at the provided number, which seems like a legitimate but potentially deceptive message.

A robocall was received from 'The $ecurity Team', claiming that hackers had accessed my accounts due to my recent Windows Operating System activity and urging me to call back.

Reports from others have consistently indicated that this is a scam, serving as a warning to potential recipients of these calls.

My experience is identical to what other callers have reported.

The scammers called my landline on Saturday, leaving an automated message about a security breach, and have now been blocked

After receiving a robocall, I decided to engage with the caller, pretending to be concerned, and asked for an explanation, eventually revealing their true intentions and reporting them.

Upon receiving a call from this number, I discovered a poorly executed scam attempting to deceive individuals into believing their PC is at risk, and I chose to block the number.

I got a message from Root Tech with this number, what a bunch of jerks.

This is a Microsoft Windows Internet scam, they leave this number for you to call, we should do somethin to stop them

Given their claim that my computer is under threat, it's surprising they dont even know what operating system I'm using, dont bother with them, their just looking for a way to scam you.

This is a blatant computer scam, and I'm warning others to be cautious of such tactics.
