Synergy Subscriptions collaborates with magazine companies to contact subscribers for renewals, earning a commission for each successful renewal. This approach helps the companies reduce costs associated with mailing renewal notices. However, I previously dealt with Synergy and found myself being overcharged, leading me to now work directly with the magazines.
Spy the Fake 'Synergy' Renewal Calls
Summary — +13255153716
Expert Opinion
These calls are classic telemarketing scams that masquerade as magazine renewal agents, often using spoofed IDs like "Snyder TX" or names such as "Synergy" to appear legitimate. They pressure recipients with inflated price offers, demand credit‑card details, and resort to aggression when faced with resistance. The safest move is to hang up, avoid providing personal or payment info, and verify any renewal directly with the magazine's official customer service. Registering the number on a blocklist and reporting it to the FTC can curb repeat attempts. Never trust unsolicited renewal offers, especially when they claim urgent price hikes.

It appears that my personal info was compromised, likely through a company hired by the Smithsonian for renewals, and then sold on the black market, resulting in scam calls requesting credit card or banking information. Kudos for taking the step of having them send a bill, but I'd only respond to official communication from the Smithsonian or authorized magazine inserts.
Aparently, this number keeps calling 3x's in one hour. The name Honor Moore keeps poping up. We dont answer the calls.
The number appeared on my Caller ID as being from Snyder, TX, and after multiple calls, I answered, only to be met with a representative from a company called Synergy, who attempted to sell me a magazine subscription, which I doubted was genuin, especialy since I found a lower rate in the magazine itself, and it seems they are trying to scam me, by charging me more.
My elderly father was targeted by this number in an attempt to renew a non-existent subscription, and when I spoke with the caller, she hung up abruptly
The response was completely unremarkable.
