Expert Opinion
It’s odd how often the same script shows up, promising to freeze accounts, seize tax refunds, and threaten court action over a phantom debt. The pattern points to a classic extortion scam that relies on fear and the misuse of personal data. Hang up immediately, block the number, and never provide payment or personal details. Report the call to the FTC and your state’s consumer protection agency, and consider filing a police report if harassment continues. Verify any alleged debt directly with the original creditor—don’t trust third‑party callers. Keep a log of calls and share it with authorities to help track these scams.

These guys dont mean absolutly nothing, you dont owe them anything and if you pay them then the extorsion will go on and on, tell him to go ahead and sue you for two reasons, first, it wont cost you one single penny to countersue them for FDCPA violations and second, because when they do it will provide you with their company name, adress, their lawyer's name, adress, and BAR number so that you could serve them that countersuit, watch how quick they give up.
