Yesterday evening I got a call from a number that showed up as Spam on my caller ID, and it vanished without a voicemail. When I pressed for an account number, the voice on the line turned hostile, which is a classic red flag. Avoid sharing personal data with unknown callers, especially if they can’t verify who they are. Let the call go to voicemail so you have a record, and consider blocking the number. Report persistent nuisance calls to your carrier and to the FTC's complaint portal. A quick lookup of the number can also reveal if it’s linked to known scammers.
When I requested verification of my account number, the representative became extremely rude, claiming to be from Cox Communications.
My landline recived a call from this number, but they didnt leave a message, the caller ID said it was spam, thats a giveaway
