Is This Harris County Jail Scam Calling You?
Summary — +13462627819
Expert Opinion
It’s odd how often this line mimics official prison outreach, yet drops the hallmarks of a legit call—late-night timings, repetitive automated prompts, and a push to dial 72 for a supposed inmate matter. Callers exploit the anxiety of loved ones with *prepaid inmate scams, banking on the victim’s desire to stay connected. If you get a call like this, don’t return the number, and definitely avoid any credit‑card payment requests. Verify directly with the correctional facility using a known phone number and report the nuisance to your carrier. Blocking the number and alerting local consumer‑protection agencies can also curb repeat offenses.
