Scam Alert: Debt Collector Pretending to Be a Law Firm!

Within the last 10 minutes, a voicemail was received from this number.

Fortunately, this website provided valuable information about a suspicious call my grandparents received from Vanderbuilt & Associates, claiming I owed a debt, which turned out to be a scam

A person claiming to be from Vanderbuilt and Associates contacted my parents and then me, stating I owed a debt to At&t for cable, phone, and internet services from 1998, but later claimed it was actually a debt owed to Radio Shack, which I disputed due to lack of information about the purchase, and they threatened legal action and wage garnishment

My parents received a call inquiring about my ex-husband, despite our divorce nearly 20 years ago. I decided to call the number left by the individual, who identified himself as Ben Baez from 888-342-0623 ext 152. He claimed he would remove my parents' names from the list. It remains unclear how their number was obtained.

Today, i recieved a call from someone claiming to be with Vanderbilt and Associates, saying i would be served tomorrow and asking me to call 888-342-0623 extension 152 to speak with Benjamin Biaz, seems like a scam

A company claiming to be from 'Legal Provision' contacted my aunt, asking for me, and left a voicemail with a case number, stating a recommendation would be made unless I called back immediately; when I called, a man asked for my name and SSN, but I refused to provide the information.

The caller claims to be from Sabra.

This company has no credibility and should not be trusted. They contacted me out of the blue, claiming that a fraud case had been filed against me, and attempted to elicit personal information from me. However, when I asked them to verify my details, they were unable to do so, revealing their true intentions as third-party collectors posing as lawyers or law enforcement.

A message from Vandenberg Chase and Associates was left, requesting a callback to an 888 number with a provided case number, which seems suspicious.

The person on the phone claimed to be from vandenberg chase and associates, saying i had to pay for a fradulent check, but when i couldnt pay 700, they ofered two payments, and asked for my credit card informations over the phone, which my roommate warned me not to do.

It apperars that scam artists have deveoped a new strategy with a different name and area code, they go by varius names
