The tactic relies on urgent language, a fake “Treasury Department‑FCU” label, and a press‑1 prompt to harvest card numbers and PINs. Even though the messages look official, the sender’s domain and the request for sensitive data are clear red flags. Never give out card details or PINs over the phone, and ignore any STOP reply that bounces. Report the number to your carrier, block the sender, and consider a credit freeze if you suspect exposure. Stay skeptical and verify any request through a known, trusted channel.
I would advise against trusting nuvox, as I've been recieving daily spam from a nuvux ip address asking for bank details, which has been going on for nearly 6 years now, and it's clear that they're not taking complaints seriusly.

I also received a text prompting me to call this number, purportedly from the Treasury Department-FCU. Fortunately, I declined to call, thanks to warnings from others. This experience has reinforced my caution with unfamiliar callers.
Over the last few weeks, all the scam emails about bank acounts from banks I dont even have an acount with have come from nuvox.net, it mus be the company they are operating from at the moment

I got a text message saying I should call this number, but I dont know who it is, so I just deleated the message and didnt bother calling back, which was the safest option.
I recently recieved a similar text message, and i provided fake informtion, including a card number, expiriation date, and PIN number, and after that, the caller just thanked me and disconected, i beleive they were trying to steal my informtion
