Strangely enough, a flood of picture‑texts from addresses like @vtext.com or @nuvox.net are trying to convince recipients that their debit card has been deactivated. The tactic relies on urgent language, a fake “Treasury Department‑FCU” label, and a press‑1 prompt to harvest card numbers and PINs. Even though the messages look official, the sender’s domain and the request for sensitive data are clear red flags. Never give out card details or PINs over the phone, and ignore any STOP reply that bounces. Report the number to your carrier, block the sender, and consider a credit freeze if you suspect exposure. Stay skeptical and verify any request through a known, trusted channel.

Interestingly, the msg came at 630 tonight, it came from vtext.com, which is Verizon's website
I just got this call today and deleted it, I wish ther was a way to stop all these anoying calls.

I received a suspicious text message, allegedly sent via email through vtext.com, requesting my account and PIN details, which appears to be a phishing attempt.

Instructions were given to contact this number via a text message.
Currently, attempting to call the number results in a message stating that all circuits are busy, and sending a text to stop the calls is met with a response indicating that the user is not valid.
