Potential government fraud.
Is the “Federal Grant Agency” Really Offering $8,500?
Summary — +15678909876
Expert Opinion
Like a fox wearing a police badge, the caller tries to disguise a scam as a legitimate government grant. The pattern across reports shows repeated promises of an $8,500 cash award, a heavy Indian accent, and requests for personal or banking details. Never share personal data or bank information with unsolicited callers, even if they claim to verify your identity. Hang up, block the number, and report the incident to the FTC or your local consumer protection agency. Use a call‑blocking app, keep your number off Do‑Not‑Call lists, and educate friends and family about the typical grant scam tactics.
