Is the “Federal Grant Agency” Really Offering $8,500?

Potential government fraud.

A man with a strong indian accent called me from this number, claiming to be from the Federal Grant Agency, but he got my name wrong, which i found ammusing

Yesterday, I received a call from this number with a thick Indian accent; the caller insisted he was offering a grant of $8500 and requested my credit card or bank card number, or suggested I could pick it up via Western Union, leading to an amusing exchange where I pretended to believe him, only to provide false information and watch as he became irritated and eventually hung up.

A call was received from this number, with a person claiming to have a heavy accent, stating that a grant of $8,500 from the government could be direct deposited into a bank account, but the conversation was ended abruptly when it became suspicious.

Similar to what KTUCKER wrote, i was on the phone for 15 min and they were offering me a grant of $8,500, but i didnt give them my personal info

The woman from this number call me, said I won 5,000 in us government grant money, but thats weird becuse I never applied for anything, then she hang up on me

I had a similair experience like others, this number called my cell phone several times, the person had a strong Indian accent, and told me I won a $8500 grant, but I wasnt intersted

I recieved another call from "The United States Grant Office", the lady had a african accent, i told her i didnt apply for no grant and dont want one, so i just hang up

However, they seemed confused, initially seeking someone else and later incorrectly stating my location as Washington DC before correcting it. This experience suggests potential hacking and location tracking, so it is advisable to exercise caution and refrain from divulging personal information.
