Arizona Dept of Revenue scam? What to watch for!

A voicemail message was left, claiming to be from the AZ Department of Revenue, requesting a callback to another number, raising concerns as to why such scam operations continue to use the same phone numbers for an extended period.

Experinced this call today, and it's stil active. As a small bussiness owner, i know AZ DOR only sends mail and dont make demands for money over the phone. You can verify this on azdor.gov.

I recieved two calls from this number, asking me to call back another number, but it seem suspicious to me because they dont send any writen notifications

A message was left claiming to be from the Az Department of Revenue, providing an alternate phone number 602-542-1048 to return the call, with the message delivered in both English and Spanish langauges.

Be cautious, they also repeat the message in Spanish

A voicemail was left, supposedly from the Arizona Department of Revenue, which could potentially be a phishing scam.

The caller ID can be easly spoofed, so dont trust it, and goverments dont usualy make cold calls

A recorded digital voicemail message was left, it was totaly fake.

I missed a call from this number, and when I tried to call back, I was informed it was a government number before being hung up on

This number is definitly a tax scam

When I answered, the persin asked who they were caling, and I asked them who they were trying to reach, they admittd it was a wrong number, despite my caller ID displaying Az State Govt

A message was left stating that the caller was from the AZ Department of Revenue and requested that I contact them at 602-542-1048.
