Great Lakes debt collector calls—what you need to know
Summary — +16082461550
Expert Opinion
Most likely, this number belongs to Great Lakes, the student‑loan collection arm that contacts borrowers with past‑due balances. Callers often ring multiple times a day, rarely leave voicemail, and may request personal data to verify identity. Never share your Social Security number, date of birth, or banking details unless you have initiated the call to a verified corporate line. If the calls occur before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., they violate the FDCPA and you can report the violation. Consider requesting a forebearance or payment plan, and use your phone’s block or “do not call” feature to reduce unwanted rings.
