The call started with a pre-recorded message from a man claiming to be calling about auto insurance. Although the recording sounded convincing, I hung up immediately because it seemed suspicious.
Despite beeing registred on the Do-Not-Call-List, I recieved a call with some random noise, followed by a real person inquiring about my car insurance.
I've accumulated 15 numbers that appear to be scams or fraudulent attempts, and I've taken to adding them to my directory with a specific ring tone to warn me not to answer.
Today, I received two calls from this number on my cell phone, but no message was left. When I texted back to ask who it was, there was no response. Attempting to call the number from a different line resulted in a disconnection after just one second.
Despite having a highly restricted network, this individual somehow managed to acquire my cell number and proceeded to call, hang up, and then appear as an invalid number when I attempted to return the call.
