Scam callers using fake Social Security threats – what to do!

Expert Opinion
Threatened that assets would be seized unless I called back immediately – that’s the kind of pressure you’ll hear in these calls. Most callers masquerade as government agencies or utility firms, demanding personal data or urgent callbacks. Never share Social Security numbers, bank info, or zip codes with unsolicited callers, and hang up if they refuse to identify themselves. Verify any claim by contacting the official agency using a known number, not the one they provide. Report the number to the FTC and your phone carrier to help block future attempts. Stay skeptical and protect your personal details.
