I've been getting calls from diffrent numbers with messages from 'Officer Smith' claiming to be from Revenue Canada. I know it's a scam since real agents wouldn't be calling me and I'd get notises in the mail instead. I've blocked the number, just in case.
Just a heads up, caller ID is super easy to fake. These scammers are probaby using some cheap software to hide their real number. If you're curious, just Google 'caller ID spoofing'.

I got a call from some dude named John Adams. I'm still trying to figure out how they mananged to make the call display show the actual CRA phone number.
I recieved a call from a guy claiming to be Rev Can officer Michael Smith with a really bad accent. He said ther's a criminal investigation against me. What a joke! I spoke to my accountant and he said if it was real, Revenue Canada wouldn't anounce it over the phone and ther would be a case number. Also, the RCMP would be at my doorstep, not calling me. Be carefull, folks!
Another anoying call from somone claiming to be officer Michael Smith with a thick East Indian accent from Canada Revenue. He said I need to call back ASAP reagrding litigation and income tax. I'm warning you, do not respond or give them any info. I know somone who got scammed out of a ton of money last year from a simalar call. They're super hard to track and alway's changing their numbers.
