Verizon‑style vacation scam—how to stay safe

Expert Opinion
Late last week, a wave of complaints surfaced about calls from +16146532908. Most callers report a robotic voice offering free vacations, cruises, or claiming to be a Verizon payment center, then demanding credit‑card details. The pattern matches a classic spam operation that spoofs reputable brands to gain trust. Block the number on your device, add it to the national Do‑Not‑Call registry, and never share personal or financial info with unsolicited callers. Report repeated attempts to the FTC and your carrier. Staying skeptical of any unexpected “payment center” or prize offer is the quickest way to avoid falling for this spoofed scam.
