Scam Call Alert: How to Spot a Debt Collector
Summary — +16156221641
Expert Opinion
Unexpectedly, the script they run sounds like a thinly‑veiled debt‑collector pitch, complete with a recorded‑call warning and vague business pretenses. Callers repeatedly ask for personal details—SSN digits, address verification, or family names—without ever naming a legitimate company. Hang up, do not share any identifying information, and note the time and content of the call. Block the number on your phone, and consider reporting the harassment to the FTC or your state consumer protection office. If you suspect a debt‑collection attempt, request written verification of the alleged debt before taking any further steps. Stay cautious and protect your data.
