The call I received was legitimate; it was a survey regarding a recent visit to the hospital.
HealthStream survey calls keep ringing—what to do!
Summary — +16158468410
Expert Opinion
Like a persistent echo in a quiet house, the calls from +16158468410 are mostly automated patient‑survey outreach from HealthStream. Callers pop up late at night, use vague caller‑ID labels and rarely leave a voicemail, which many recipients find intrusive. Even though the purpose is market research on recent medical visits, the practice often violates personal comfort and can skirt Do‑Not‑Call rules. To protect yourself, add the number to your phone’s block list, file a complaint with the FCC, and request removal directly from the company’s opt‑out line. Regularly review your privacy settings with any health provider that might share your contact info.

It's outrageous that this company is calling about my hospital stay, which is private information, and it's even more disturbing that the hospital shared my unlisted number with them.

Fortunately, I resisted the urge to return the call from this number after reading the warnings posted here. Currently, I'm not inclined to engage in polite conversation, and I certainly have no intention of discussing my personal medical matters with strangers. As one individual aptly put it, such inquiries are 'none of their business.' If I need to communicate with my doctor, I will do so directly.

When I returned the call, I discovered that the number belonged to Health Stream, a market research company claiming to be conducting a survey about a recent doctor's visit, which I had not made in three years.
Repeated calls are being made day and night, with the last incident occurring on Thursday, October 8th, where the caller used up all the message time on the answering machine without leaving a message, only background voices were heard.
My previous comment incorrectly stated the caller's name as mine, when in fact, it was listed as Unknown Name, and I've received multiple calls with my own name falsely displayed as the caller.
