Southwest Credit calls: Why you should hang up now!
Summary — +16174594484
Expert Opinion
Multiple reports cite a pattern of urgent‑tone inquiries tied to Southwest Credit, often demanding personal details under the guise of an “important matter.” Callers typically refuse to identify themselves, repeat “hello?” or claim to be from a bank, and they may use recorded legal warnings. Never share your maiden name, address history, or financial info until you independently verify the source. Hang up, block the number, and log the call with the FTC or your state’s consumer protection office. If you suspect a legitimate debt, contact the creditor using a phone number from an official statement, not the one that rang your phone.

Upon answering, I was greeted by someone asking for me using my former surname, followed by a series of questions about my previous residences. After declining to respond and inquiring about the caller's identity, I was met with a vague claim of urgency and a demand for immediate cooperation. The caller claimed to represent Southwest credit, but I terminated the call due to suspicious activity. Notably, I had been a victim of the Home Depot data breach, which may be connected to this incident. It is crucial not to provide these individuals with any information or confirm the details they already possess.
