Debt Collector Harassment? Portfolio Recovery Tips
Summary — +16193781461
Expert Opinion
Imagine getting a debt collector call at 8 am from a number you don’t recognize—most people expect such calls after business hours. In reality, Portfolio Recovery Services routinely uses rotating numbers to bypass blocklists, so the same caller ID can appear as a fresh line each time. Let the call go to voicemail; if no message is left, flag it as spam in your carrier app. Register the number with the National Do Not Call Registry and file a complaint with the FTC or your state’s consumer protection agency. If the calls persist, consider a call‑blocking service or a written cease‑and‑desist letter to halt further harassment.

Honestly dont know nobody from that area of the country, tried looking it up but they want me to pay a dollar to find out who it is
The fact that I don't know anyone from that region raises suspicions, and attempting to look it up required a payment of one dollar, which seems unnecessary to identify the caller
Given the unfamiliar area code, we're hesitant to investigate further, especially when faced with a fee for more information.
