Expert Opinion
Recent patterns show a surge of calls claiming to represent the New York Blood Center, often urging immediate blood donations. Many recipients report mixed experiences, from genuine scheduling prompts to unsolicited robocalls that feel suspicious. When a call asks for personal details or pushes a rapid action, pause and verify the source through the official NYBC website or a known contact number. If the number feels off, use your phone’s block feature and consider filing a complaint with the FTC or the Federal Communications Commission. Keeping a log of call times and messages can help you report accurately and protect others from potential scams.

My experience with this number was not satisfactory.
Apparently the New York Blood Center asks you to donate either whole blood or Platelets which help more people in need. It's essential to note THE Number IS NOT SPAM. Yes they call frequently but if you gave blood befor thats how they got your Number. Please research a number befor labeling it as SPAM. Thnx to Eddie J... The list of suggested call types needs a major revamp as there's no listing for a non-profit like NYBC. This info provided by a platelet donor.
