A caller claiming to be Renee, with a surprisingly deep voice, contacted me under the pretense of needing styling services for a St. Jude's charity gala, but their story lacked clarity when questioned further
After recieving a call from a woman claiming to be Rene, I listened to her proporsal and it became clear that it was likely a scam, as she wanted me to pay $1500 for a wedding service

On January 26, 2023, I experienced a similar situation to others, where I was asked to be a bridesmaid, with specific requirements, including a $2500 payment, but the details, such as the venue and date, were vague

This morning, two calls were received from this number at 7:30 PT, which seemed suspicious. Furthermore, letters from St Jude have been arriving with my first name but incorrect last name, including return labels and sticky notes, despite no recent donations. It's possible that these events are connected, so I'm relieved I didn't answer and will be blocking the number.
It's not unusual for business owners to advertise, so it's unclear why someone would find it unsettling that this person knew about an event company
