Who’s behind the Kevin Williams arrest‑warrant scam?

It's amusing that the caller warns of an arrest warrant without revealing their identity or the name of the person being warned.

I recieved the same call, the guy said his name is Nick Johnson, i called back but no one answered, then they called again with the same message, it was alot of broken english, i know its a scam

Allegedly, I had pending legal charges from Cash America due to fraudulent activities associated with my email, but when I inquired about the specifics, I was told the details would be disclosed after my arrest

As it happend, I had a friend call them back, and they got a machine, when I called back, the person with broken english, who claimed to be from a law office, told me I had 3 complaints against me, and that a warrant would be issued for my arrest, I started asking questions, but he got annoyed and hung up, I called him back, and he hung up again, finnally, I told him I would report him to the attorney general and BBB, and he hung up once more, its been quiet since, thankfully.
