A call was made to me from someone claiming to be from Quickbooks support, but their legitimacy was questionable since they couldn't provide the license number, and a suspicious charge was made to our company card.
This person attempted to update our credit card on file for our Quickbooks annual renewal, but it was a clear scam. I asked if it could be done online and he said no, prompting me to be cautious.
It a SCAM!! they claim to be Johnny Milton from "Quickbooks" and said our visa had been declined for a 2019 renewal, they gave me 800-961-7954 x435 which i googled and found it as Shale Investments in PA, thats weird because they knew which program we use
A voice message instructed me to call back at 800-961-7954, but the original number was 631-533-9532, and the caller, Stanley from QuickBooks, was trying to scam me out of nearly $500.
Beware of 800-961-7954, as it is a scam attempting to deceive individuals into renewing their QuickBooks.
A person claiming to be Kevin Williams is associated with this number and instructs callers to contact 1-800-961-7954 ext 20405
Calls from this number claim to be from Sage, stating that our credit was declined and a new credit card is needed for an update, but when asked for verification, the caller hung up.
Today, a male representative from this number contacted my buisness, requesting an updated credit card number for a QB upgrade, apparantly they have acess to my Quickbooks information, which is concering.
Apparently, numerous calls have been recieved from this number, claiming to be Quick Books, with a person introducing themselves as Kevin Williams, however, THIS IS A SPAM-NOT INTUIT QUICK BOOKS, dont provide them with your informations. They originate calls from 646-760-7694 and request a call back to 800-961-7954 Ext. 20405.
This individual's relentless calls have been reported to my account manager, who confirmed the scam and launched an investigation, warning against divulging credit card information.
The caller claimed to be from QuickBooks, stating I owed $399 for payroll updates, but Intuit confirmed it was a scam.
