This pattern lines up with typical phone scam tactics that rely on familiarity to lower guard. If you receive a call with no voicemail and a vague text, avoid replying, block the number, and report it to your carrier or the FTC. Keep a log of timestamps and never share personal info with unknown numbers.
This number has called twice, but I didn't answer. Although no message was left, I did receive a text from someone claiming to be Roy, inquiring about my well-being and mentioning that they had attempted to call me.
