Following a call on my landline two weeks ago, I became aware of a potential scam involving a credit card company impostor offering a gas card reward. The individual on the phone provided the last four digits of a credit card number and employed evasive language when questioned about their affiliation. Despite my request to be removed from their call list, I received another call the next day from a different person, and subsequently, multiple calls on my cell phone from an unknown number. It is unclear how they obtained my cell phone number, and I am seeking a way to stop these harassing calls.

The caller's information is as follows:
My wife received an offer for a $40 gas card from these callers, who had somehow obtained our home phone number and some of her personal info, including the last four digits of our credit card. They asked her to enter her birthdate, which she did, and then tried to convince her that she had already accepted their offer by doing so. When she declined, they hung up. I tried to call them back but was unsuccessful. I believe they obtained her info from a recent TV purchase, as she rarely uses the credit card. I've since contacted them and asked to be removed from their distribution list, and I've also frozen our credit card to monitor for any suspicious activity.
