Donation scams on repeat – what to watch out for

Monday has begune with a scam call, expeting alot more by friday, this particuler number is now blocked.

Upon receiving the call, I was greeted by a man with a voice suited for radio, who inquired about my presence on the line, but when I asked for his identity and location, he sidestepped my questions and instead asked if the household head was available, to which I responded vaguely, prompting him to schedule a callback.

The person asked for Robert, and when i told them they had the wrong number, they tried to get me to help them with a donation for 'Police Officers'

After failing to answer the call and receiving no message, the number has been blocked, thanks to the warnings from other commenters indicating a likely scam

This caller is soliciting donations, likely a scam

Somebody called asking for somone who dont live here, I just hung up on them

This individual appears to be dishonest and lazy, attempting to deceive others by exploiting a Veterans affiliation to solicit money, which is a scam that should be avoided.

They called me and made the same claim, but when i contacted the Police Officers Association, they told me it's a scam, dont give them any informations

I received a call from 760-309-3713 asking for someone named Marcela, and when I informed the caller that they had the wrong number, they proceeded to recite a script about a donation to U.S. Veterans.

A male caller, whose name was not displayed on the caller ID, was seeking a donation and hung up when I refused to engage.
