It appeers to be a medical scam attempt
United Healthcare call – should you answer?
Summary — +17632743899
Expert Opinion
Apparently the caller says they’re from United Healthcare or its OptumRx arm. Before you share anything, verify the caller’s identity by hanging up and calling the official number on your insurance card. Never give out your Social Security, full date of birth, or banking details over an unsolicited call. If the call seems urgent or threatens service loss, treat it as a red flag and contact your provider directly. Keep a record of the number and any voicemail, then report suspicious activity to the insurer’s fraud department or the FTC. Staying cautious protects your coverage and personal data.

Throughout my experience with this service, which is provided as part of my company insurance benefits, I have received regular check-ins from a dedicated Registered Nurse who monitors my diabetic progress, including weight, blood sugar levels, and exercise routines. These calls, which typically last 25-30 minutes, have been consistently helpful, with the nurse offering valuable suggestions on diet, exercise, and foot care, and even providing resources such as phone numbers for a 24x7 nurse line and websites for free foot examination supplies.
