Following the initial call, numerous attempts were made by Unit Processing to contact me regarding the signing of legal documents for a female who previously held this number. Despite informing them that I recently acquired the number, they persisted in calling. On multiple occasions, no one spoke when I answered, and prior to that, I had sternly warned them not to call again.

Expert Opinion
It looks like +17812024211 is a common number used by scammers posing as legal process servers. They often claim to have legal documents or a civil complaint that needs to be served, sometimes using outdated names or personal information to add a layer of credibility. The callers might threaten legal action or try to pressure you into providing personal details. If you receive such a call, it’s best to hang up and not engage. Instead, ask them to send the documents via registered mail, which is the proper legal method. If the calls persist, consider blocking the number and reporting it to your local authorities or the Attorney General’s office. Stay vigilant and don’t fall for these tactics.

This morning, a suspicious call was received from an individual claiming to be a lawyer, threatening to submit civil lawsuit papers to court if I didn't respond within an hour. Numerous red flags were raised during the conversation, including the request to use my former married name from nine years ago. It became apparent that this was a scam, as legitimate lawyers do not serve papers via phone calls.
