Capital One:

A representative from Whitman & Associates claimed I had a judgment against me for an HSBC line of credit, which I don't have; they threatened to seize my assets and contact my family and employer; the provided phone number appeared to be associated with Capital One, but it was likely a scam
The caller claimed to represent Capital One and requested information about my credit card. I declined, citing uncertainty about the caller's authenticity. However, I couldn't verify this number on Capital One's official website, and upon contacting them, they seemed puzzled as well.

I was contacted about an alleged debt of $1668.00 from a 13-year-old Capital One credit card account; however, Capital One confirmed the account is closed
